The weekend trip to Berlin was eventful, historical, erm... basterds? and of course awesome!
Eventful?
The journey to and fro Berlin was crazy. Direct train to Berlin was fully reserved. So we have to catch 3 trains to reached Hamburg, before another train to finally reached Berlin.
Then, the gawd damn racist lady was an arse. We were at Berlin train ticket counter inquiring about seat reservation and she said "no English, no English". So naturally, I asked if any of their staffs could help us but she replied the same thing. Ok maybe she really don't understand. I stand to the next queue. While waiting, there was a group of what I believe Swedish travelers asking for train reservation as well. That bloody gawd damn fugly woman converse in bloody gawd damn it English. This biatch will get her retribution in due time.
Apologies for the not-so-nice language.
And when we were coming back, we rushed like crazy madmen to finally board the train. The train was so damn packed we have to sit along the train corridor. Luckily it was for half of the journey.
Historical.
Berlin the capital of Germany. The Bradenburg Gate, the Reichstag Building, the "Museum Island", the Berliner Dom, Checkpoint Charlie, The Rathaus and of course the Berlin Wall. The events, stories and histories were overwhelming.
Bradenburg Gate. Separated by the wall.
Now.
East Side Gallery. Graffitis and paintings on the Berlin Wall.
Checkpoint Charlie.
In the Dome of Reichstag Building.
Jewish Museum.
Basterds?
Yeah! Basterds. We caught Inglorious Basterds in Berlin. Right from the start, Brad Pitt was slamming Germans non-stop. I was holding back my laughter for a while fearing the German beside me will hit a punch into my face. But well, they started laughing too. It was the perfect city for this movie.
Awesome.
This word has to appear. It is a big, modern city. I thought Munich's metro was complicated. I was almost lost in Berlin. The metro system is wicked.
No wonder my sister tell me "shopping" in Berlin. The number and sizes of shopping malls are awesome. Well, it's just not very cheap.
Of course, don't ever miss out currywurst, aka curry sausages in Berlin. They have a museum devoted to currywust heritage. Damn, I feel like having some now. Currywurst ain't exactly curry sauce like Singapore's curry. It's more like sausages in BBQ sauce sprinkled with curry powder, still it tasted awesome!
Currywurst. Shiok.
Beck's.
