sunshine!

I think my blog post works. Ever since the saddening post about autumn last week, it hasn't been raining much. The weather was awesome throughout our roadtrip and this week equally good. The sun is shining and the sky is clear. The wind might be chilly and temperature dropping but it is always a happy day with sunshine.

I need a bask in the sun at my dorm's grass patch.

Loving it.

of sunrise and sunset

The lack of post was simply due to my laziness. That's what people become when they get settled down.

We decided that this weekend it's gonna be different. We are not going to cook in someone's hostel. We are not going to ask why the shops are not opened on sunday. No.

Roadtrip. It shall be. To Skagen and Aalborg.
Frederikshavn
Small town. Nothing much to see and do. The Danish Navy is there and so there were a couple of warship.

Skagen. Just in case you find this name familiar, it's a watch brand. It just so happen I owned one because I got it as a gift from my best friends.
It took us 3.5hours to reach Skagen, the Northern most tip of Denmark. Over at Grenen beach, the Kattegat and Skagerrak meet and waves from both side clash right at the northern tip.
Strain your eyes to see but the 2 seas really clash, just in case you thought I was bull shitting about it.
Then morning came as we were woken up by the sunrise and aching buttocks. It wasn't the most comfortable experience to sleep in the car but it was still cosy and nice enough.
Aalborg was the next stop. This is the gang in case you thought I was all alone. I concluded that Danish cities are very similar. Aalborg is the 4th largest city and it's still kind of boring as we wandered around aimlessly.
There were no much pictures of the Danish highway on my side because I was the driver for the entire journey. Left hand. Manual drive. It was hard to get use. Ok I need to catch some sleep on my cosy bed and under my warm blanket.

autumn

As I looked out, it's raining, windy and cold.

"Hey X, autumn is gonna be rainy", my neighbour commented as I stepped into the kitchen.

For a second, I tried to deny that statement. NO!
"Autumn!?!??"
OK, it's really autumn. No more sunny days then.

As I stepped out of home, cold wind slapped mercilessly on my face and rain drops drenched my cheek. The wind was so strong that carrying an umbrella seemed useless. As I zipped up my windbreaker, I walked head down towards the bus stop.

Today and Friday seemed like a same day. Same weather, equally gloomy. I made my way to town but however it seems like Danish are so used to it. They still head to town and H&M was still crowded in the weekend. As we walked down the street, we decided to give ourselves a treat and ate ice-cream in the rain. Awesome!
Danish are funny and celebratory people. As I mentioned, they do crazy and wild things. That's what make them awesome and fun-loving.
Hey! Look at the crowd in the botanical garden despite the weather. Oh yes, it's the annual "Ice-Cream Kicking Festival". Just in case, you thought I made an error. No. You read it as it is.

Participants made entrance with music like wrestler. That monkey in the video is one of them and people dressed up in all sort of costumes to make a fool out of themselves and entertained. The rain and wind ain't so bad afterall with much laughter and applause.

Dinner was great today. We made dumplings. My danish neighbour and I. Once again, Awesome! There was a surreal mixture of home and foreign taste. It was special eating dumpling in Denmark with an "ang mo". A feeling that made this experience unreal for a moment. Look good, taste better!
I look forward to tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be sunny and bright. Why not?

waiting...

As the title says, I am waiting. Waiting for my laptop AC-adapter to come.
I have been surviving on Calvin's and my battery for the last couple of days. So I have limited time to do whatever I want to online. But it's not so bad.

There was not much excitement or interesting thing for the past 2 days.
Unlike the past 2 days, today weather is wet and gloomy. It is raining as I write this post and class starts in about 45minutes time.

I just want to hibernate for the rest of the day.
